ragnarZ opened a first solo show at Dixon Lounge
The exhibition is in an abstract and fusion style, made from sand, pumice, acrylic and oil. The pumice comes from the eruptions in Suðurnes.

The exhibition is in an abstract and fusion style, and is made up of works in sand, pumice, acrylic and oil. The pumice used in the works comes from the eruptions in Suðurnes, which gives the material a strong connection to living Icelandic nature.
ragnarZ has developed a distinctive price and ownership system around the works. The price is based on the average price per square metre over the last five years for commercial property in 101 Reykjavík.
Each work comes with a wall-lease agreement, comparable to a 99-year plot lease, so the buyer’s cost is from about 540 kr. a month while the agreement is in force. The artist states that the agreements cannot be transferred except with the artist’s consent, but they are inherited within the artist’s family, unlike a plot-lease right. This approach makes a ragnarZ work a living, long-term “wall space” that owners enjoy in a new way, and one that also commits them. The fusion artist ragnarZ is presenting a complete exhibition and experience for everyone.
At the exhibition the artist presents only new ragnarZ work, his inner person, who has followed him through the creative process and shaped both the works and the method for years.

The exhibition runs past Christmas during Dixon Lounge opening hours: 11:30 to 23:30 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and until 19:00 on other days. Closed on Sundays.
